My goal is to make each massage session a custom experience according to each client’s specific needs at the time of the massage. I want to emphasize that getting the full benefit of a massage is a co-operative effort between the therapist and the recipient.

Swedish Massage

Considered to be the classic Western massage modality, this approach can be valuable for improving circulation of blood and lymph, relaxing muscles, improving joint mobility, inducing general relaxation, and promoting healthy skin. In this style, long, gliding and kneading strokes are applied with an oil or lotion.

Thai Massage

My wife calls Thai Massage lazy person’s yoga, although the people that request it are by no means lazy. Many athletes prefer this mode of bodywork. Its performed while clothed in loose fitting attire on a mat on the floor. Thai Massage creates an energetic dance between giver and receiver through its sophisticated system of deep rhythmic acupressure to muscles and energy lines during assisted stretches and yoga postures. Its integrated approach stimulates the body’s natural healing by unleashing the flow of blocked energy resulting in an energized calm to the recipient. With overburdened schedules and lifestyles, Thai Massage offers the body a chance to do less and feel more.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is used to release long-held muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure on specific muscles. A deep tissue massage helps loosen muscle tissues, release toxins from muscles and get blood and oxygen circulating properly. It also helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue and is performed according to your tolerance and need.

Chair Massage

Chair massage is performed with the client fully clothed and sitting face down in a special massage chair. In this position, the head, neck, shoulders and back are the main focus. This is a portable chair which can be brought to your place of business or event site where people would benefit from a 15 or 20 minute session of upper body stress relief and relaxation. Not all clients are the same, nor is every massage.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a form of bodywork that uses Deep Tissue, Swedish, Thai and various other types of massage techniques. Specifically adapted to deal with the effects of intense physical exertion on the body. Its primary purpose is to ease stiffness and pain in both muscles and joints, increase mobility in muscles and joints, warm muscle and connective tissue prior to exercise and help in removing toxins and lactic acid after a workout.

Every sport can have inherent issues, whether you’ re into running, soccer, bicycling, basketball, golf, etc., etc. Try to get your aches and pains addressed sooner better than later.

Prenatal Massage

Pregnancy massage is therapy specifically tailored for the expectant mother’s needs. It’s a natural, touch therapy treatment aimed at alleviating stressed joints and muscles and other pregnancy related symptoms. I try to ensure that the mother’s body is properly positioned and supported during the massage, using pillows and padding on a heated table. Proper positioning ensures comfort and safety for mom and baby.

Expectant moms have different issues at different stages of their pregnancy. Prenatal massage offers a wide range of benefits, which include easing backaches, headaches, shoulder and neck aches that may be caused by muscle tension and shifts in posture to accommodate increasing weight, it decreases pain in the pelvic/hip area and increases circulation.
